The last few weeks have been rough. I had surgery on April 23 and have been recovering ever since. Then last week I got an infection at my incision site and had to be admitted back into the hospital. Now imagine if I worked for someone else, my job would probably be on shaky ground because of all of the days that I would be missing work. This is one of the reasons I'm glad that I'm an entrepreneur. I don't need to call in sick, I don't need to bring in a doctors note and I don't need to schedule my time off with anyone except myself.
Being an entrepreneur has allowed me tons of freedom over the last 21 years. I got to attend my daughters school events when she was younger. I took care of my mom when she was going through chemo and radiation. To this day I still take care of not only my mom, but my uncle too. I have many doctor appointments, because of the lifestyle that I have I'm in a position to take them to these appointments. So if you are reading this post and you are thinking about becoming an entrepreneur ask yourself does being an entrepreneur support the lifestyle that you want to live.
