You’ve probably been an entrepreneur for a while now and are struggling to make the income you need to survive. You are probably asking yourself why do I keep doing this when I’m just wasting time and the little money that I have. You feel like success at this entrepreneur thing is just not in the cards for you. You know people are successful, because you see them all around you, but you’re not having any success. You are probably frustrated and ready to throw in the towel and do something else and if that’s where you are I want to tell you wait before you do that.
Everybody has a setback occasionally, but it doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with you. In fact, failure can be a great opportunity to learn your own limitations and boundaries, and provide you with a chance to learn how to think outside the box.
Unfortunately, we are often taught that accepting failure means accepting that we are failures. We begin to believe that we are not worthy of any kind of encouragement or positivity, simply because we are overwhelmed by the incredible emotions that come with the idea that we are worthless when we are not succeeding at something.
The fact of the matter is that success is something that has to be personally defined, otherwise, you will find that you are far more inhibited by the expectations and interpretations of success that other people place on your shoulders. Nobody deserves to have their sense of self-worth defined by somebody else. That is a personal choice, and a very important thing for you to do in this sense is to really sit down and consider what you would define as successful.
First of all, acceptance is the key. The first step to anything is being able to accept that it is happening, and it is something in your life that you need to deal with. For any of us to be successful we must first determine what is we really want out of life and our business. This is where you must be really honest with yourself and put your ego aside. Most of the time people are starting their business not out of love or passion but from their ego, which is a problem right from the start. So why did you start this business and what to want to accomplish?
The next thing you need to remember is never to identify yourself as a failure. Putting labels on yourself like this can be extremely difficult for you to overcome. You are not a failure because something went wrong. Nobody is ever a failure. However, we often get stuck and stop seeing the opportunities that are still around us to either make things right or to go in a new and even better direction.
This is when it is helpful to start to consider the situation from all angles. There is bound to be a way for you to benefit from the situation, even if it isn’t the one that you are hoping it would be. Think about what you can learn from your setbacks and how you can grow from them. Think about what constructive things can be taken away from your setbacks and allow yourself to consider all options rather than feeling as if there are no other alternatives. There is always an option. Whether we are able to accept that option or not is a personal choice.
What is most important though, is to understand that setbacks are a common part of business. Nothing that is worthwhile happens easily. There is always going to be something in the way of what you are trying to accomplish, and if you are willing to face it head-on and see it objectively, then you will never be a failure. You will be a success who can get up again when your back is against the ground.
I find myself constantly having to uplift people I love when things don't go as they planned. I always remind them that our plan is not God's plan. So my nephew Tre' Bell recently graduated from UCONN where he played football. He has played football since he was 6 years old. He has dreams of playing in the NFL and has worked very hard to get there, but today his dreamed came to a halt because his run time was reported a little too low for NFL standards. So it would be an understatement to say that he is crushed right now. So I had to put on my empowerment hat and point out to him that it's not over until it's over. He had a couple of scouts who told him that they wanted to find out more about him because they liked what they say. So there is still hope.
My reason for sharing the story about my nephew is to let you know that most of the time there is still hope if you just keep your head in the game. Don't get me wrong I totally get it when you've worked so hard to make something happen and someone just comes along and let the air out of your balloon. It's hard to blow the balloon up again, but you have to. You have to remember why you do what you do and the goal that you set for yourself. Remember all of the work that you've done might not even have been for you. It could be for someone else. My nephew working hard to get to the pros may not be for him it may be for someone else. That's what happened to his father, my brother. He was in the very same position and he did not get to the pros, but he has sent 60 young men to college and a couple to the pros. Almost all of those young men did not have a father figure in their lives and my brother was it. He was their coach, the big brother and in some cases their father. So him not going to the pro was still a positive in his life. He does what he loves and he is helping young men by being a positive role model.
So when things don't work out exactly how you would like them to, just remember they will work out the way that God wants them to. His plan is always better than our plan. Trust God and Trust The Process.

Every month Kate bring us two episodes of what's happening at 31. This is episode one of two. Check it out and make sure if you want to learn more about Thirty-One go to www.31LifeStyle.biz
I'm really excited about the next 90 days, because I've set this really big goal for myself. Back in February I joined 31 Gifts because I wanted to be able to purchase products to give away each month to a lucky visitor who signed up for my newsletter or magazine. The more I looked at the company, the more I realized this company looked like a lot of fun, so I made the leap to build my second business around the products by Thirty-One Gifts.
So What Is My Big Audacious 90 Goal?
My goal over the next 90 days to bring on what I am calling ProfitPreneurs to join my team. I know that this is a pretty big goal, but I believe I can do it. The products sell themselves and people love bags and purses. So what I have to do now is nail down exactly what I will be doing to build a strong team of ProfitPreneurs for my Thirty-One Gifts business. I will be sharing with you what I am doing and keeping you up to date with my progress on how my team building is coming along. I will share what marketing strategies are working and which ones are not working.
One of the things that you learn in any network marketing company is that what you do should be easy to duplicate so that your team will be able to follow you. I have to keep that in mind because I love marketing and before I know it I will have this huge marketing plan that only I can follow, so I will create a plan that works for me and that can be duplicated. Now in order for me to do this I have to first do a lot of split testing to find the right strategies and I will share that process here also.
Thank you for stopping by and by all means if you want to join Thirty-One Gifts and become one of the 31 ProfitPreneurs you can visit www.31LifeStyle.biz or fill in the form below if you have questions.

As an entrepreneur we are always tempted by the shiny new objects that shows up for us. It's so funny because I had set a goal to do my one thing. I wrote about here on the blog and I was excited and ready to focus. Then it happened! I saw a new shiny object that an associate of mine was talking about on Facebook. It seemed pretty cool, so I reached out to her and she gave me a call the following day to explain to me what it was and man did it seem like a great opportunity. So after our phone call I did what I always do I started to research the company. I have to tell you it was really intriguing. I went on YouTube and checked out some of the videos about the other business owners who were a part of this business opportunity and the reviews that they gave were very convincing.
After spending about 3 hours researching the company, I was so excited to become a partner, so I registered my LLC with the parent company and was ready to start taking the certifications, but then I decided that I would sleep on this new shiny object and the next morning I decided that I would stick to the plan that I had laid out and not start a new venture.
I shared this story with you because a lot of times we are so captivated about all of the new shiny objects that show up in our lives everyday that we forget about the plans that we've laid out for ourselves to focus on this new thing. If this happens to you I would like to invite you to next time a new shiny object enters you life just sleep on it before you take action. You just may discover that this is not something that you should be doing right now.
